About the Author
Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, Courtney has been an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion in the construction and engineering industries for over 11 years. Currently based in Dallas, Texas, she is a commercial and heavy civil construction project management professional and a licensed professional engineer. Courtney holds a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, B.S. degree in Math, and M.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University and holds an MBA from Lamar University.
About the Illustrator
Erin Nielson is a freelance illustrator based in McKinney, Texas. She loves to create imaginative and whimsical artwork, especially if that artwork can include a few animals. She has worked with clients such as BYU Independent Study, The Friend Magazine, and Cincinnati Children's Hospital. She attended college at Brigham Young University and graduated with a BFA in Illustration. She now enjoys working out of her home studio with her daughter, Emma, and rescue dog Zoey.
